The village of Los Nietos is situated to the southwest of the Mar Menor, near larger communities like Mar de Cristal and Los Belones.

How to Get to Los Nietos Beach?

You can reach Los Nietos by taking one main road, RM-F54, from Los Urrutias to the north or from Los Cristales to the south. The settlement has parking so that you can get to the beach by car without problems. You can also take a bus from Murcia to Los Nietos. The travel lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the price varies between 4Є and 8Є. The bus passes through San Javier and Los Alcázares.

How to Get to the Carrion Beach

Since Carrion Beach is in an urban area, it is easily accessible from different parts of the Murcia region. For example, the Murcia International Airport is located 20 km away in a straight line from Carrion Beach, which means you can reach Los Alcázares in twenty minutes and a bit more. From the airport, you should take the A-30 Spanish Autovia and then take the RM-F14 until Torre-Pacheco and the RM-F30 until Los Alcázares. You can also take a bus from Murcia to Los Alcázares, which costs $4-6 and lasts 1 hour.

This nautic port is at the south end of Carrion Beach. It consists of two L-shaped dams with an 18-meter-wide mouth, three pontoons, and several docks.

Playa El Castillico

It is extremely popular during the summer, with a length of 450 meters and an average width of 40 meters. Its vast stretch of sand and shallow waters make it a favorite spot for families and swimmers.

Playa del Atalayón

Although Playa del Atalayón does not have a traditional beach, it does offer anchorages for sailboats, making it a point of interest for sailors.

Playa Del Pescador Is In Santiago De La Ribera

This district has many beautiful beaches, including Playa Del Pescador. This hot beach is ideal for relaxing during the summer and attracts tourists and locals.

Beach Features

Playa del Pescador is known for its clear, calm waters, which make it ideal for families and those who enjoy safe swimming. The fine, dark, soft sand invites visitors to relax in the sun, while the gentle sound of the waves creates a perfect relaxing environment.

The attractive urban beach is 250 meters long and 25 meters wide and has a high occupancy rate, especially in summer.

No smoking!

Since summer 2019, the beach has been designated a “non-smoking” beach by the City Council of San Javier. There is no official ban, but swimmers and other beachgoers are encouraged to refrain from lighting up on the sand. This initiative prevents non-smokers from being exposed to the harmful agents of cigarettes or similar products, as well as preventing butts, ash, or residue from cigarette products or similar products from polluting the sand or sea.

Facilities

One of the reasons I like Playa del Pescador so much is that it is very well-equipped. Most of the services are available during the high season. There is drinking water available, as well as a special area for the disabled and a cordoned-off bathing area for greater safety (it’s great for elderly bathers). The beach has toilets, safe bathing areas, and a kiosk where visitors can buy drinks and snacks.

For those who enjoy sports, the beach offers equipment and courts for various activities, such as beach volleyball and beach football. There are designated picnic facilities and play areas for children. In addition, there are foot baths, trash cans, ramps, and wooden walkways that lead down to the wet sand, making it easy for everyone to access

Gastronomy In The Area

The region has many food and drink options, all within easy walking distance. From the Chiringuito Mistral, a kiosk practically on the beach, to nearby options.

At the Chiringuito, I enjoyed a nice cold beer with an incredible sea view.

In the mornings, I had coffee at Panadería Jose Antonio, on the beach street, with great options for a full breakfast.

However, the highlight of the culinary experience was the El Embarcadero restaurant. It is a beautiful and comfortable space where I found traditional Spanish dishes and more general options. The service was great!

I can say that the options of bars and restaurants in the region are vast, and will cater to all types of palates and tastes!

Real Club de Regatas de Santiago de la Ribera

On the beach, you will also find the Real Club de Regatas, a complete sailing club that enhances the tourist experience. The club offers a modern and well-equipped infrastructure, with various services to meet the needs of its members and visitors. Among the main facilities, the following stand out:

• Marina: The club’s marina is safe and well-maintained, with capacity for several vessels. It provides high-quality anchorage and maintenance services.

To get to Playa del Pescador in Santiago de la Ribera, San Javier:

• By Car: Take the AP-7 and exit at San Javier/Santiago de la Ribera. Follow the signs for Santiago de la Ribera and Playa del Pescador. Parking is available near the beach.
  
• By Bus: Local bus services connect San Javier to Santiago de la Ribera. Get off at the Virgen de Loerto (The bus stop nearby) to walt to Playa del Pescador.
  
• By Bicycle: Use the cycle paths that lead to the beach. There are bike racks available for parking.
  
• By Foot: If you are nearby, follow the promenade to Playa del Pescador.
  
• By Boat: Anchor at the Club Náutico de Santiago de la Ribera, a short distance from the beach.
  

Parking

It is important to mention that there is very little parking in the area due to its location in a pedestrian zone. In the summer, most street parking and parking businesses are available on the streets behind the front lines of residential buildings. Sometimes, it may be necessary to park a few streets back during the summer. So, I generally arrived very early there. Not only did it help me make the most of the day, but I could also park close to the beach.
